About Model Management Advisors
Our Mission
We help firms identify and manage the risks that arise when decisions rely on quantitative models.
We focus on what matters: how models are used, how they interact, and where their limitations create real exposure.
We provide independent assessments of model credibility, third-party model transparency, and model suite risk, along with governance and reporting approaches that give executives and boards a clear understanding of risks embedded in decisions that are model-supported.
Elizabeth Mays Ph.D., Founder and Principal Advisor
Elizabeth has over thirty years experience in the public and private sectors of the financial services industry. She has run model development organizations at both Citi and JPM Chase, and served for thirteen years as EVP and Chief Model Risk Officer at PNC Financial Services.
AT PNC she was responsible for the bank's model risk management program, ensuring policies, controls, and governance processes were in line with regulatory requirements and ensuring sound, transparent use of all models throughout the organization.
As a model development executive she specialized in credit scoring and loss models and is the author of the industry standard text "Credit Scoring for Risk Managers: a Handbook for Lenders".
Elizabeth has extensive experience in heavily regulated environments and was a financial institutions regulator herself prior to her entry into the banking sector.
