About Model Management Advisors
Our Mission
We provide advisory services to create or enhance your program for managing quantitative models, including AI. We help institutions, large and small, to create or enhance model inventories, write model management policies, build out processes for independent review and model risk assessment, properly manage third party models, and create reporting to keep your executive management and board informed about model usage and risks. We will advise you for as little as an hour or assist you with long term projects and initiatives.
Elizabeth Mays Ph.D., Founder and Principal Advisor
Elizabeth has over thirty years experience in both the public and private sectors of the financial services industry. She has run model development organizations at both Citi and JPM Chase, and most recently served for thirteen years as EVP and Chief Model Risk Officer at PNC Financial Services. There she led the team responsible for the model risk management program, creating policies, controls, and governance processes in line with regulatory requirements and ensuring sound, transparent use of models throughout the organization.
Prior to her entry into the banking sector she spent several years in Washington DC as a senior economist working for the regulatory agency for the S&L industry. There she built models to estimate institutions' interest rate exposure and participatied in onsite exams.
